NPSL: The Santa Ana Winds (7-1-0) and San Diego Flash (6-2-0) have a top-of-the-Southwest Flight showdown Saturday night in the National Premier Soccer League's Western Division. The Winds have won seven in a row after dropping their opener Hollywood United. The Flash are 8-0-0 on the field but forfeited two victories.\n
\n
Chatsworth's Robert Pate (Chatsworth HS/Cal State Northridge) scored twice as Thousand Oaks' FC Hasental (4-4-1) won its third in a row, beating Lancaster's Rattlers FC, 4-2. … Hollywood United (9-0-1) extended its lead in the Northwest Flight to 18 points with a tougher-than-expected 2-1 win at Real San Jose, which the Hitmen battered, 11-0, five weeks earlier.\n
\n
PDL: L.A. Blues 23, the reserve side for the USL Pro league team, failed to score a goal while conceding 11 in its first four games. They broke out last week, beating the L.A. Legends, 2-0, on two Daniel Martinez goals, then rallied Thursday for a 1-1 draw with Ventura County as former UC Irvine standout Carlos Aguilar (Palmdale/Palmdale HS) tallied in the final minute.\n
\n
W-LEAGUE: Pali Blues (2-0-2) settled for a 1-1 draw with Vancouver on Wednesday after surrendering a 75th-minute penalty kick. Pepperdine's Anisa Guajardo scored for Pali just before halftime.\n
\n
WPSL: Four of the five L.A.-area clubs in the Women's Premier Soccer League's Pacific-South Division play home openers this weekend, with the Los Al Vikings getting two home games. (Claremont Stars must wait until next week to get off the road.) Most anticipated is the Orange County Waves' home debut Saturday evening against Los Angeles Premier FC at Orange Coast College in Costa Mesa. The Waves are primarily professional; L.A. Premier always fields one of the better sides in the WPSL.\n
\n
Ajax America, which won the WPSL title in 2008, was runner-up in 2009 and reached the final four last year, has the toughest slate this week,. welcoming the San Diego SeaLions to Nansen Field in Rolling Hills Estates on Saturday and visiting L.A. Premier at La Caņada High School on Sunday.\n
\n
USL PRO: Richmond is unbeaten no more. The Kickers (6-2-2) managed just one point from three goals last week, losing on successive nights at Charleston (2-1) and American Division leader Orlando City (2-0) and drawing at home a few days later with FC New York (2-2). … Charleston (5-4-2) ended a 521-minute drought Dane Kelly's 26th-minute equalizer against Richmond, then got the winner from Jon Gruenewald in the 86th and followed with a 2-1 win over Harrisburg. … The L.A. Blues' lead in the National Division is six points after Rochester (3-4-2) tied and won in two games last week. The Blues (5-2-2) are back in league action on June 24.\n
\n
WOMEN'S PROFESSIONAL SOCCER: Hermosa Beach's Abby Wambach was WPS Player of the Week after scoring a hat trick in magicJack's 4-0 romp over the last-place Atlanta Beat. Western New York Flash, with Marta, Canadian star Christine Sinclair and top draft pick Alex Morgan (Diamond Bar/Diamond bar HS), are atop the standings with a 6-0-1 record, eight points ahead of Boca Raton, Fla.-based magicJack (4-1-0).\n\n\n\n
